Coincidence or SIGN??? You tell me!

Okay, you tell me if this is crazy: I went with Ryan to apply at the Coca-Cola plant in a nearby town in Oklahoma today. We sat down at this small cubicle and he started applying on the computer. He needed some phone numbers from previous employers, and there were TWO phone books laying in his cubicle. I picked up the top phone book, which was a Tulsa book, and underneath the Tulsa phone book was a MONTROSE, COLORADO phone book!!!! How weird is that!?!?!? 900 miles away, I find a phone book from my HOME area! I still can't get over it, how in the world did it get here!? I am still sitting here in disbelief that out of ALL the USA, that ONE phonebook from my HOME area made its way to where I live now! So what do you all think of this???

Our 10th anniversary

I honestly can't believe that today is our 10th anniversary. It seems like it should be like our 5th, but certainly not our 10th. Time has really flown! Last year, Mary posted a blog about her 10th anniversary and posted some pictures from her wedding day, and I loved that idea, and decided to do the same thing. I decided it would be fun to make a slideshow of our wedding day :) Ryan and I are going to go out to eat somewhere in Oklahoma City and then go see "17 Again". We would have LOVED to went back to Dallas, but don't have the money at the moment. This day in age, I feel very thankful to have made it to our 10th anniversary. Most marriages are over by then. I am looking forward to more milestones in our marriage (our 25th, etc...) I love my husband and definitely look forward to many more years with him :)

Valentines Day

I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day!!! My husband is in Colorado at the moment, but I still got a present from him, he's so sweet! Thank you Ryan!
As for our trip to Colorado, me and the kids are probably leaving this Friday. We don't know if we will get to go to Oregon, it is a possibility, but we can't say if we are going to go for sure. (I sure do hope so!!!)

Hello everyone! I'm back, again. I'm so terribly sorry about not being on in quite a while. But, this time it wasn't my fault. It was my computer's fault. I wasn't even able to get on Blogger. I would go to the sign in page, and it would freeze up. It did that for me for several weeks. Finally I attempted to go to it again, and somehow, it let me in. But... when I went to leave comments, it then wouldn't let me leave comments. So I went on to Internet Explorer and tried to leave comments, and it worked. So it will take me a little while to leave comments on everyone's blogs, but I will definately be working on getting caught up :)

The latest happenings in our lives is: We have had a very mild winter, up until last week, we had an ice storm, and had sleet/snow on top of the ice, so the roads were not so good. But that has since then melted and we are back to normal here. We got family pictures taken where I work, so I got a great discount :) They turned out nice! My mom is finally coming to visit me, she will be here on Wednesday (2/4) and will leave the following Wednesday (2/11). And Ryan is going to Colorado on Tuesday, 2/10. Then me and the kids will be joining him in Colorado a couple weeks later. We are going to be spending time in Delta/Montrose area, Grand Junction area, and Denver area. I'm looking forward to this trip. Unfortunately, we are not heading up to Montana or Oregon :( Sorry to disappoint everyone. We just don't have the money to go up there. I do hope that this year sometime, we will make it up there. I just don't know yet. Time will tell.

Today is my sister, Sue's 41st birthday. And also my husband's 29th. I love them both very very much! I think that when Ryan gets home from work, we'll probably go out to eat at his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster. I hope they both have a great day!!!

We're back!

Hello again! We made it home last night and I was so tired that I didn't get on the computer, I was ready for bed!!! We had such a great time down in Dallas! We got down there Friday around 11am. We went straight to 6 Flags. It wasn't too awful busy, so we got to ride the rides fairly quick. We rode the Batman ride first (it has the railing on the top, instead of under you) Then as soon as we rode that, Ryan made me to the Dive Bomber Alley/Sky Coaster. I was SO SCARED!!! It is where you get strapped into a harness and they attach a cord to your harness. Then they take you up, & up, & up..... I'm not really scared of heights, unless I know I'm going to be free-falling, which is EXACTLY what you do!!! It was terrifying, I wanted to yell "STOP, I don't want to do this!!!" But I knew they wouldn't hear me, and I knew I was doomed to have to do it. My husband made me! So we finally make it up to the top and they have a speaker up at the top and it tells you. "3-2-1 FLY!" Then Ryan pulled the rip cord, and we went head first for 2-3 seconds, and then finally leveled out on our stomachs. After that it was actually fun. My poor heart, it was hurting so bad! Then after we got that out of the way (THANK GOODNESS) we went and rode all the good rides! I love rollercoasters. The Titan is definitely a little scary at first. But it is also SOOO fun. Our 3 favorite rides were: The Batman, The Titan, and Mr Freeze. Mr Freeze starts out indoors and they immediately shoot you out at 70 mph. You don't have much time to get scared. The whole ride lasts 45 seconds, not long at all. At the end of the ride, you are seriously going STRAIGHT up at a 90 degree angle, then you go backwards. It was all so much fun!

We went again on Saturday, it was SO busy, but we had so much fun then also. Then on Sunday, we went to church. I grew up in Montrose/Delta area and there are a few people from that area that have moved to Dallas. It was so nice getting to see faces that I grew up with. We went to my cousins, Rod and Lynell's after church and had hamburgers. Then after lunch, my cousin, Caleb did a ventriloquist act for us. He is SO good at it! We really enjoyed it. Then we headed home and stopped halfway home to see some other friends, Tom and Vanessa (also from Delta area) and we visited with them for a little while and came on home. It was a fun, but very tiring weekend! I'm so glad we got to go!

9th Anniversary

Well it is finally here! Today is our actual 9th anniversary, but we're celebrating this weekend. It is also Dale & Gale's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both :) Today is going to be a very busy day of packing. We will go spend the night with Ollie and Sharon tonight, where the kids will be staying this weekend. Then tomorrow morning we will leave for Dallas and we will be at 6 Flags all day tomorrow and Saturday. Then go to church on Sunday and come home Sunday evening. I'm so excited!!! I do have to say that since Vickie passed yesterday, I will be thinking about her and feeling guilty that we couldn't go to her funeral, but we had 3/4 of everything paid for on our Dallas trip, and it isn't changeable/refundable. It really does make me feel bad. It is hard to enjoy yourself when a tragedy has just happened. I don't want anyone to think that all I care about is my own fun, because I guarantee that I will be thinking of her a lot.
But it is going to be a wonderful time. Of course I will post pictures and tell you all the details when I get back :) But do me a favor, and pray for my back/left shoulder. It has bee KILLING me for 2 days, and I really hope it isn't hurting tomorrow. That would be miserable! We'll talk to you all very soon :)

Ryan was on the News!

Yesterday when Ryan came home from work, he was very excited. He told me that Tulsa's News 8 interviewed him and they taped him working for about 20 minutes. So we watched the News that night and he was on the news, but not for very long. I'm not sure if the sound is working, but at least you can see him. He's about 20 seconds into the video, wearing a light gray shirt. I thought it was pretty neat. So far since we have lived here, I've been in the Sapulpa newspaper and Ryan has been on Tulsa news. HEHE.

1 week!

I'm getting more and more excited to go to Dallas next weekend. We have everything paid for except dinner and fuel. We have our motel, tickets, lunches, and other vouchers already paid for. I have found several videos of the rollercoasters we will be riding. The one I have posted underneath we rode 5 years ago, and it scared me half to death! It is so tall! I just am getting more and more excited everyday, and so is Ryan! I'm sorry I keep going on and on, it's just that we don't get to do this very much, so it is a huge deal to us! I seriously can not wait! By the way, in order to hear this video, you'll need to mute the "Daddy's Hands" song. I'm so excited!

Ryan and I's 9th anniversary is coming up in less than 3 weeks. On our 4th anniversary, we went to Dallas and went to 6 Flags. It was so much fun! Well we've been wanting to go again, and have been planning for our anniversary to go. More than likely, I'll either be pregnant or have a little one on our 1oth anniversary, so really this may be the last chance for a fun anniversary for a few years. Well, we went ahead and put in an offer on Priceline for a Hotel room. We put in for $50.00 and our price was ACCEPTED by the Arlington Hilton (that's where we stayed on our 4th)! The normal price was $129.00 per room! The Hilton is RIGHT across the highway from 6 Flags. On our 4th anniversary, we had a room on the 20th floor that faced 6 Flags, so it was fun to stare at it out of our window. I hope we get a similar room this time! We're going to go to 6 Flags 2 days, Friday and Saturday. I'm really looking forward to this! I kind of want to also go to this Renaissance place (dinner and theater) called Medieval Times. They serve a renaissance style dinner and they have a show that includes knights fighting and that type of stuff. I'm not sure that we'll get to go to that, but it is an idea. Also, I'm REALLY looking forward to going to church in Dallas. There is A LOT of brethren that are from Colorado that live in Dallas now, plus others that I've known basically my whole life. It has been SO long since Ryan and I got to go away together and it is definitely going to be a lot of fun!

11 years!

Today is Ryan and I's 11th anniversary. Not of marriage, but of being together. I met and started dating Ryan at the hayride in Oklahoma City 11 years ago. We dated long distance (he lived in Oklahoma, I lived in Colorado) for 2 years before we joined lives. I can't believe how fast time has flown by! I'm so happy to be his wife, and love him SO much!

No kids

It is going to be a different, but nice few days for me. Our kids are staying with Ollie and Sharon down at the lake. I hope to get a lot of things accomplished while they are gone. I need to go through their rooms and get rid of some junk and clothes. I need to do some organizing around the house. I need to do some spring cleaning, mow my yard, do other yard work, etc... I love my kids SO much, but it is so nice to have a little break to do extra things. Plus, Ryan and I really don't get much time without them, so it will be nice to just spend some time with only him. We will probably go to their house on Saturday, and spend the night. We have Easter plans there at Ollie and Sharon's house on Sunday. But for now, I'm just wanting to focus on getting some things done. But I hope the kids are having a great time!

Valentines Day

Well, we did go to dinner last night. I was mistaken, it was called "The Gaucho". It was very good, and very different. They had a salad bar that also had more than salad. It had like Beef Stroganoff and Salmon, etc... And the main meats were brought to you by "Gauchos" that walked around with meat on a skewer, and they ask you if you want meat, and then they cut off a piece for you. It is a great place to try, but not a place that I want to go very often. Lee and Cherrie also went and I thought it would be funny if they sat us close to them, and guess what, they did ;) HEHE. But I really enjoyed it. Ryan and I hadn't been out on a date in... I don't even remember when. It was great. I'm hoping we can go away for a weekend on our anniversary in May. I hope everyone else had a great Valentines Day :)

Thankful

Hello, and thanks for taking time to visit :) For those who know me, know that my husband and I have been through some really rough times in the past. Ryan hadn't been spiritually strong in a very long time. I hadn't known what a great marriage was like and was not jealous of anyone specific, but jealous of happy couples in general. Well, the month of August, Ryan and I had decided to separate. He went to Colorado and then to Oregon and was gone the full month of August. He came back and about 2 days after he came back, God put a heart softener inside of him and he has been a TOTALLY different person. Things have been going SO good for us. I saw a change in Ryan OVERNIGHT, literally. On September 1st, he was angry because he knew that people were upset with him and he just had a lot of bad feelings. He had told me that he hadn't planned on going to church anywhere, because he just didn't care anymore. So I really didn't see much hope of us working anything out. On September 2nd (a Sunday) I was getting me and the kids ready for church and didn't even ask him if he was going to go and he got up and got ready to go to church. We got to church and meeting started. To much shock, he got down in the beginning part of meeting and prayed. I was so shocked and SO happy. This is what I had been wanting for a long time. Then towards the end of meeting, he got up and testified about how God has protected him so many times when he could have been hurt worse than he was. Anyway, it was a happy day for me. After that, he has honestly been a completely different person, in such a great way. Our marriage has been happier than it has ever been. And for the last 4-5 years, everything seemed to not work out for us, and lately, God has been working out so many things that we finally have a comforted feeling about a lot of things. God blessed Ryan with a good job, he's been there all week. He works long hours, but all the overtime should really help us get caught up on bills. Anyways, it has been about 5 years since we have been halfway this happy. Ryan got mixed up with the wrong crowd in those 5 years and it took so long to get back to a normal, christian life. I'm not saying that Ryan was the only one not living right either. I made some mistakes also. But it all is in the past and like I said, it has turned around. I'm so thankful. I had forgotten just how happy a person can be when they put God #1 in their life. We have been visiting several different times. Yesterday, we were over at brethern's house from about 1:30 to 9:00 visiting about different things in the bible. I got so much rejoicing from it! I just can't stress enough how THANKFUL I am that things are going in the right direction for us, finally. I owe EVERYTHING to God. He is the only thing that has worked all of this out for us.
